The proposed Channel Island Internal Wave Experiment will investigate the ubiquitous internal tidal waves found on Bight Island slopes. This experiment will take advantage of existing thermograph arrays maintained by the Channel Islands National Park, adding an instrumental mooring to record temperature variations in the water column that will be correlated to those recored with a nearby, bottom-mounted array.
